what are we looking for?

We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to provide administrative and marketing support to the team. This is an entry-level opportunity suited to someone who is keen to pursue a career in Marketing. The role requires excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills. Creative flair is required and experience of using Canva, Adobe Photoshop or similar would be beneficial.

what will you be doing?

In this role, you will:

Administrative support

  • Organise and manage marketing folders and image libraries.
  • Look after the company email signatures and management of the email signature platforms.
  • Keep the marketing database clean and up-to-date, removing unsubscribes.
  • Assist in raising quotes, tracking invoices, and help maintain budget records.
  • Ensure that the marketing shelves are kept clean and tidy, and stock levels of branded materials are monitored regularly.
  • Upload data to our NPS platform.

Sales support

  • Assist in the creation of sales presentations, materials, and visual aids.
  • Organise branded sales promotions for the sales team, including liaising with external suppliers to gather quotes.
  • Ensure that customer gifting cupboards are stocked and ready for sales team appointments.
  • Organise ad hoc gifting boxes to clients.

Marketing campaigns

  • Support the Marketing Executive in the organisation of on-site driver giveaways, internal and external prize draws, and customer gifting campaigns.
  • Support the Marketing Executive in the publication of THX’s Internal Newsletter and internal marketing campaigns.
  • Source and optimise images for marketing campaigns.

Website

  • Keep key pages refreshed and up-to-date.
  • Meet the Team page: Add new members, take photos, and keep BIOs populated.
  • Careers Page – work with HR and Executive Assistants to ensure Careers Page is kept up-to-date with live jobs.
  • News and Insights: Upload signed-off content, source images and publish content on News and Insights pages.
  • Work with the Marketing Executive to add new products to the website and ensure descriptions are SEO-friendly.
  • Support SEO health initiatives on the website.

Social media

  • Support the Marketing Executive with social media scheduling and monitoring.
  • Support the Marketing Executive with the creation of social media posts, including taking photos of the THX team, departments, and operations for use in social media content.
  • Supporting the Marketing Executive with the growth of internal video content within the business.

email marketing

  • Involvement in organising the rollout of regular email campaigns.
  • Track key email metrics.

content creation

  • Contribute to the creation of marketing content, including blog posts, articles, and product descriptions.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Executive on the development of marketing collateral.

what we would like to see:

  • Enthusiastic team player with effective communication and great people skills
  • Good written skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task across a number of projects and work to deadlines
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Creative flair, ideally with experience in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar
  • An understanding of marketing and its core principles and practices, with enthusiasm to learn new skills
  • Demonstrable interest in pursuing a career in marketing
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
