THX RENEWS ITS certified carbon neutral business STATUS
At THX we are committed to working towards creating a more sustainable environment to protect future generations. That’s why we are delighted to announce that have now renewed our status as a Carbon Neutral Business for 2024.
Becoming carbon neutral
Becoming a carbon neutral business is an important stepping stone on our journey towards net zero. We want to take positive action towards reducing the environmental impact our carbon footprint has on the world around us, and play our part in tackling climate change.
Working alongside Carbon Neutral Britain , we measured and calculated our total carbon footprint for 2022/2023 and then off-set our total organisational emissions to become Carbon Neutral.
OFFSETTING PROJECTS
We are offsetting our total carbon emissions through the Carbon Neutral Britain Climate Fund. These are internationally certified carbon offsetting projects that have been selected based on their direct and indirect impact on sustainability. Such as:
- Andes Mountains Hydro Power – Hydroelectric Power in Chile
- Burgos Wind Farm Project – Wind Power in the Philippines
- Rice Husk Project – Rice Husk Power in Cambodia
What does the certification mean?
Our carbon neutral certification has been awarded by Carbon Neutral Britain, an external, independent organisation. This provides assurance that our claim is both robust and credible, using the ISO 14064 and GHG Protocol Emissions Standard.
Our journey towards net zero
We are committed to sustainability at THX and believe tackling climate change is critical to help protect the world around us for future generations.
Being Carbon Neutral is a further step towards our goal of achieving net zero carbon by 2040. Sustainability is a journey, and we will be implementing a number of initiatives both big and small along the way. Watch this space!
