Workshop Yard/Cleaning Operative

Full Time – THX Bedford (Viking Industrial Estate)

Working Hours: Monday – Friday – 40+ Hours Per Week – Shifts ranging from a 6am start to a 7pm finish.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Are you a hardworking, friendly and reliable individual looking for a role with guaranteed full-time hours? We can offer you this, plus a free lunch and weekends and bank holidays off!

We require a workshop cleaner to clean ladders, podiums and other returning hired equipment in the morning. This role will also support the inspection of this equipment, and assist with the unloading of returning vans as and when required.

There is also the opportunity to learn how to inspect and test returning hire equipment, and to undergo forklift training as further development.

THX aspire to be the hire company of choice for specialist contractors offering the latest in a large range of hire equipment.

what will you be doing?

You will be responsible for:

• Cleaning ladders, podiums, scissor lifts and other equipment using a pressure washer.
• Cleaning varied hire equipment by hand to a good standard.
• Rebranding new equipment with THX stickers.
• Photographing and recording very dirty items.
• Regularly checking, cleaning, and tidying our yard, workshop, warehouse, and vehicle parking areas.
• Providing support to our warehouse, workshop and driving teams as required.
• Inspecting ladders and podiums

WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE

It is essential that you bring:

• Practical mind minded with the ability to work quickly and methodically.
• Experience in cleaning, organising, and tidying.
• Comfortable with manual labour with the ability to lift heavy equipment.
• Flexible, adaptable and a hard-working team player.
• Willingness to learn and able to follow instruction.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• A can-do attitude with a willingness to help out.
• Ability to concentrate whilst doing repetitive tasks.

It is desirable that you bring:

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
