what are we looking for?
We require an enthusiastic, practical & pro-active Trainee / workshop operative. With the move of the workshop to new premises in central Bedford, this role will be assisting with cleaning and inspection of basic hire equipment while training on inspection and repair of more technical hire items.
what will you be doing?
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning and maintaining the presentation of equipment.
- Inspecting and testing returning hire equipment (training given).
- Ensuring the THX identification numbers are clearly marked and visible on all items.
- Using a computer-based system for administration of the inspections.
- Regularly checking, cleaning, and tidying our workshop.
- Providing support to our warehouse, workshop and driving teams, as required.

- An exceptional eye for detail and being able to work accurately at speed, with numbers.
- Good computer skills.

- Willingness to learn .
- A can-do attitude with a willingness to help out.
- Ability to concentrate whilst doing repetitive tasks.

- Ability to work alone whilst also being a genuine team player
