WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Jet Washing Operative to join our Warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining a wide range of hire equipment using jet washing machinery, ensuring all items are returned in a clean and presentable condition for future use.

what will you be doing?

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operate jet washing equipment to clean tools, machinery, and other hire items.
  • Inspect equipment before and after cleaning for damage or wear.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the designated washing area.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties including loading/unloading, stock movement, and equipment checks.
  • Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Report any faults or issues with equipment to the supervisor.
  • Ensure timely turnaround of cleaned equipment to meet operational demands.

WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE:

Essential experience, skills & attributes for the role:

Essential – Previous experience in a warehouse or industrial cleaning role preferred.

  • Familiarity with jet washing equipment and basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Physically fit and able to handle manual work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work in outdoor or semi-covered areas in varying weather conditions.
  • Adaptable, reliable and proactive.

Desirable experience, skills & attributes for the role:

  • Forklift licence or experience (training can be provided).
  • Basic understanding of equipment used in construction or specialist contracting.
